Looking to Register?
Genesis Security Training Academy offers classes on a weekly and monthly basis. In order to register for BST or AST, you must physically come into the Genesis Security Training Academy.
Steps to register for BST and /or AST:
1. Refer to class schedule for start dates for the BST and/or AST course
a. The BST course is held Tuesday through Friday. We also offer weekend classes, which run for two consecutive weekends.
Please note the exam is written on Friday.
b. BST registration deadline is 5p.m. Monday, before the course begins Tuesday.
c. AST course runs for three days once a month. AST registration deadline is 5pm on the Friday, before the course begins Saturday
2. To register you must physically come into the Genesis Security Training Academy to register: The location of the Genesis Security Training Academy is

To travel to the Genesis Security Training Academy, you can drive or use public transit. Please note There is only street parking available. Here are links you can use for driving (map quest) or taking public transit.
3.Present valid government issued photo identification (ID).
a.If you are a Canadian citizen you can provide us with one of the following: Canadian valid passport, valid driver’s license,
or valid B.C. ID.
b.If you are not a Canadian citizen you will need to provide us with a valid passport, along with one of the following:
valid landed immigrant papers, valid permanent residency (P.R.) card,or work permit
4. Complete the application form.
5. Pay for the course and exam on the day you register. The cost is as follows:
a.Basic Security Training (BST): Course Cost $255.00 (tax and exam fee(non-refundable) included)
b Advanced Security Training (AST): Course Cost $455.00 (tax and exam fee(non-refundable) included)
6. You will be provided with details of when the course begins and ends.
