The BST Course
In order to complete the basic security training and become a licensed Security Guard, each individual student must complete training in the following categories:
● Professionalism and Public Relations
● General Duties and Responsibilities
● Legal Authority, Duties and Responsibilities
● Alarm Systems/Physical Security Controls
● Traffic Control
● Explosive Devices/Bomb Threats
● Personnel/Material Access Control
● Report Writing/Note Taking/Evidence Handling
● Fire Detection/Prevention and Safety
● Patrol Procedures
● Labor Relations
● Relations with Public Law Enforcement
● Self Defense and Tactical Controls
Only $200 at the Genesis Security Training Academy
The AST Course
After successfully completing the AST, students will be able to safely and effectively control/restrain individuals who have contravened a law or whose behaviour may pose a risk to themselves or the public. The segments include:
● Introduction to the course
● Security services act and regulations
● Advanced force options theory
● Introduction to control tactics
● Application of restraints
● Excited delirium/positional asphyxia
● Reporting/documentation

The registration deadline for both courses is 5pm on Friday before the course start on Monday.
