The Genesis Security Group was initially founded to fill a unique market segment, the provision of licensed, bonded and specifically trained personnel to provide security services in the Special Event and Nightclub Industry in Greater Vancouver. The result has been a marked increase in safety and security along with a sizeable reduction in liability insurance costs in the Nightclubs that utilize Genesis Security's services.

The program has been so successful that Genesis Security Group has been awarded the contract to have their licensed Security Guards work in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department to patrol Granville Street Mall area during peak Nightclub hours.

The use of a contracted private security firm allows Nightclubs to ensure that:

  1. There is proper and fair line control, friends of the doormen are not allowed to bypass the line-up and everyone pays the cover charge.
  2. Incoming guests are screened for gang affiliations, can be searched for weapons (including the use of metal detector wands when appropriate), and will be denied entry if they contravene club policy.
  3. Incoming guests are also screened for signs of intoxication and/or surly behaviour, and those who show visible signs of being a troublemaker can be denied entry.
  4. Genesis Security employees are trained in conflict resolution and can identify potential problems and calm down those involved and resolve the situation before it escalates further.
  5. Should a violent incident occur, Genesis Security staff are highly trained in self defence, control tactics, and first aid, and are able to break up incidents and remove troublemakers from the premise in an orderly and safe manner.

Genesis Security personnel are also trained in report writing, and after an incident will complete full incident reports that can be used for judicial or insurance purposes.
