Genesis’ residential security service continues to grow in
leaps and bounds. With mobile patrols, alarm installation,
alarm monitoring, alarm response, static guards and our free
community patrol we have the ability to cover any security need.
An excellent record, high level of customer service, and winner
of the Consumer Choice Awards for 2007/08, combined with our vision
of creating a safer community has been the reason for our strong
growth and success in the residential sector.
The Community Patrol Program
Genesis Security originally launched its Community
Patrol program in June 2005. Established mainly
in the neighbourhood of Kerrisdale, it patrolled 25
square blocks that ran from Granville Street to Dunbar
Street and from 33rd Avenue to 49th Avenue. With its
implementation we have found a strong and cooperative
support from the local community.
With the program now having grown over the last 2
years, more neighbourhoods continuing to support the program,
and a large number of clients signing onto our alarm monitoring
and response services, we are tripling the size of our Free
Community Patrol as of the 1st of October 2007. We will now
cover all Vancouver residences and businesses west of Granville
Street as well as the Downtown and West End areas. Our ability
to make this expansion comes from the reinvesting of our own
funds back into the community. With the continued development
of this plan we will eventually cover all of Vancouver.
